Description

The T-28D Trojan generates a hefty 1425 hp and began her career in 1962 engaged in counter insurgency roles in Vietnam. 

Climb into the cockpit, take a deep breath as you gather speed on the runway, feel the wheels leave the tarmac and your senses tingle as you climb to the east and follow the coastline from Lake Macquarie north along Newcastle's pristine surf beaches and begin your series of tactical yet graceful aerobatic manoeuvres. Track at speeds of up to 400 km per hour, trace the outline of Newcastle Harbour and then turn for home, the Hunter Valley, mission accomplished.

Includes

A 1 1/2 hour long experience - total flight time is 25 minutes. Pre-mission briefing and routine pre -flight inspection. We supply each passenger with a soft flying helmet incorporating an electric intercom. Warbird experience passengers will be supplied with a military style flying suit and military helmet.

Located at Cessnock Airport, around 2 hours drive north of Sydney.

Participant Requirements

There is a minimum age of 16 for all warbird flights and we have flown people up to 85 years of age. Any flights undertaken are at the sole risk of the passenger. Please allow at least an hour for your experience. Wear comfortable loose fitting clothes, long pants, rubber soled shoes and bring along a light jacket (heavier clothing may be need during the winter months). Feel free to wear your sunglasses. 

You should be in generally good health. You will also need to be normally mobile and agile enough to climb up into cockpits and lift your legs and bend your knees etc. Let us know about heart disease, hypertension or diabetes just to be sure. 

Cancellations

A fee of 25% of the price of the flight will apply to all cancellations made within 12 days notice of your booking. If the weather is unsuitable for flying we will contact you as early as possible in the morning (if the decision has not been made the day prior) on the day.
