Description
A great way to experience what gliding is all about. Take in the breathtaking views to the Sydney skyline, and the rugged Blue Mountains or spend time with your instructor learning the basics of soaring flight. This flight is for those wanting the ultimate gliding experience for themselves or family and friends. Your flight lasts approximately 45 minutes and begins with a short safety and operational briefing with your pilot covering the glider, phases of the flight and answering any questions you might have. You will then climb high above the picturesque CamdenValley in a state of the art self-launching glider and once your pilot switches of the engine you will be soaring like a bird. During your flight you will be able to take the controls at certain stages under the guidance of your instructor to experience for yourself how easily the glider can be controlled, or you can just sit back and enjoy the view. After seeing the sights of the surrounding area you will glide back to the airport for a landing.
We are a small and friendly not for profit gliding club. All our aircraft are maintained to the highest standards and we pride ourselves on 35 years of safe flying. The pilots that conduct these flights are fully qualified instructors or charter pilots and we operate in accordance with our Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Air Operators Certificate and the Gliding Federation of Australia (GFA) standard operating procedures.
